Classical Dressage training Singapore

It is the greatest reward for me to see how horses can be brought back to enjoy their all day live and stay healthy and happy in working with their riders and human friends.

I was born in Bavaria in Germany and got "infected with the horse-virus" via a friend. Maybe it was also already in my genes since my grandparents had farms with horses and my great uncle was the coachmen of King Ludwig III. from Bavaria.

In the age of 13, I convinced my parents to allow me to go for riding lessons. I started in a riding school with department riding and changed after one year to the yard of Mr/Mrs. Goldhahn who was famous for educating the best riders in our region. Helga Goldhahn and her daughter Margot Stadler mentored me over 27 years until today and taught me everything about horsemanship including feeding, stabling, and health care. Margot Stadler herself was competing successfully in advanced classes in Germany until she changed her profession to a judge. From her, I learned all about how to win a competition.

With 17, I finally bought my Hanoverian schoolmaster Lapresso. He came to the yard of Ms. Goldhahn and Ms. Stadler because his rider couldn't handle him anymore. He was winning classes in medium level and taught me patiently every exercise. I competed with him successfully at tournaments and was able to go up through the classes year by year until medium class. He never had any health problems and died as a happy senior in the age of 31.

After him, I was offered another horse from Margot Stadler son - Giovanni. He challenged me a lot. He was very creative in kidding his rider. He bolted, tried to find a way out of the arena, did quick changes in direction or tried to strip me off at the fence.

After some time riding and training with Mrs. Stadler and me, he forgot all his bad habits and became a real reliance horse. Giovanni was lucky and found a 13-year-old boy who chose him as a lifelong friend and both are very happy to have each other.

At this time I met my husband and decided to move to Singapore. When I arrived in Singapore I came to NEC where I finally was introduced to Focus on Me. He had no "friend" and no one wanted to ride him anymore. So I felt really sad for him and signed his lease. After some initial "misunderstandings" between him and me, I finally showed him in Novice dressage classes after only 2 months which he won straightaway. Now I am working on his physical and mental development to make him deft in moving his body and to get fun with it. For me, this is the greatest reward to see how horses can be brought back to enjoy their all day live and stay healthy and interested in working with their riders and humans.

After my victories with Focus, I was really motivated to compete again in more tournaments and to learn more about how to train different horses in several ways to achieve the best for each. As a result, I signed up and passed instructor course in Germany at the FN and became a trainer C in classical baroque equestrianism. I chose this direction because of the smooth, individual training - mentally and physically tailored to each individual horse.  The classical baroque equestrianism starts already quite early in teaching horses the Piaffe and declines every kind of technical aids like sidereins or anything that could harm the horse's nature. The psychological and physiological health is always the most important principle in this horsemanship. The classical baroque equestrianism also uses several ways of work from the ground like work in hand, long reins or pillars where the trainer is dependent on the cooperation of the horse because of missing aids like weight and legs. For further clarifications, I would like to forward you now to "what I offer..." where you can get more information about which method can be used for what and so on...
